Best Bluetooth headset on the market?

Just ordered a tom tom rider v5. Just wondering what the best or best value for money headset there is on the market today? Seen loads of cheap ones on eBay for under £20, but I'm looking to get a half decent one

I'd steer clear of the cheap ebay ones, i.e the BT??? type, mate has one & sound quality is rubbish for phoen conversations, tho he says that he can hear others fine.
Cardo Scala Rider is a decent unit, if you want it just for you? Hooks up to sat nav, phones, mp3 etc via bluetooth, available for about £65.00 new on eBay.

Feck all wrong with the eBay ones. Been using mine a while and not had any complaints, that said don't expect any fancy apps to come with them they just do what they say on the packet.

This one is incorrectly described it does not have the intercom function and if you complain you get a partial refund so ends up costing less than a tenner.

If you are planning on dropping 100+ on a branded one it's worth dropping a tenner on a cheap one first if it does what you want, great saving if you don't like..... no big loss.

I'm not sure why, but the decent ones (e.g. Cardo Scala Rider and related) aren't really available at significantly discounted prices.

My GF and I have had a pair of Q2s for a couple of years. These work for line of sight intercom as well as GPS or phone pairing (but not at the same time). In practice, they're mostly used to play music from phones.

My Q2 eventually gave up the ghost a few weeks ago when going through a particularly heavy thunderstorm on the continent (it had survived many more heavy rainstorms in the past).

After a fair amount of research, I bought a G9. Only a little bit more expensive than the fairly old Q2. However I don't need or use any of the added features - I primarily use it for music, and answer the occasional phone call.

I don't often pair with the GPS, because (a) it prevents pairing with the phone (and thus stops the tunes), and (b) you don't really need audio prompts with the GPS. The GPS tells you how many miles to the next turn, get into the habit of giving that an occasional glance and you're set. The on-screen diagram is generally more useful than audio prompts.

Thanks people. Barrkel good bit of advice mate, will do that. Didn't realise it messed the phone up regarding tunes? Will just have to keep glancing down then I guess. Suppose it's like most things though, once I get in the habit it should be fine
