Sorry to hear that.

Am always cautious approaching country pub car parks, but if you don't know the road, you don't always know where they turn up.

Are we talking 'Classic British, therefore approved by the Empire and ideologically correct' right way round, or 'generally accepted by the rest of the world as being normal' right way round? They seem to follow the conventions of the latter.

Hope the leg heals soon/well.

its a road i use daily

normally you can see cars waiting to pull out but this one was hidden by the vw van as it was halfway out waiting for a gap in the traffic coming the other way

the gap appeared the same time as me Rolling Eyes

GWS

50:50 though if that went through insurance as the best case scenario, what do we tell everyone about filtering past junctions?

To slow down and anticipate someone pulling out, Mr Snoosnoo.

However, 50/50 is what I'd expect. I'd not overtake a car turning left into a junction, especially if I couldn't see over the top of it.

Just going to leave this here.

https://assets.digital.cabinet-office.gov.uk/static/hc/hc_rule_211_look_out_for_motorcyclists_and_cyclists_at_junctions.jpg

Applies both ways, IMO. Both of you spazzed that up.

Mend expeditiously, chap.

After my first crash, which occurred from a scenario quite similar to the pic you posted, Mr policeman who attended the scene informed me that generally the onus is on the person pulling out of the junction to make sure it is safe to do so.

As it turned out, I received a full non fault pay out. However, I agree with you that both of us "spazzed that up" but, moreso the person pulling out. Either way, a harsh lesson was learnt.
