Was looking on the gumtree(other time wasting sites are available ) when lo and behold I saws me a little red Honda lead 100cc scooter that had just pasted its MOT 3 days before and with 4500 miles on the clock.
Now says I to meself, That is something I do not need but at only £400 I think I want so I can at last open the box with the brand new helmet I was given about 3 years ago for reasons I cant remember.
So there i am with a new to me something I can't use until I do the cbt....... im booked in to do over a few evenings next week
Now....the problem is, I already have yet to use this scooter and I am already looking upwards to a bigger bike for reasons that I always like to have something different.
My wife has taken this impulse buy with good heart god bless her, I think she thinks it will save a fortune if I change bikes instead of cars every year:)
Oh and if pinkyfloyd reads this... ello cous... how long you give me till I have the full licence and something mad? |

Think of it as £400 invested in bike futures.
i.e. ride it a bit, then when you've come to your senses, sell it and put the money towards geared bike category 'A' training and tests.
Don't get raped on the insurance though - some of the cheaper underwriters only cover <125cc bikes and won't let you switch the policy to a bigger bike later. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

£400 and only 4500 miles?
How many new sets of clocks has it had then?
well its a 06 honda lead,Bought from a retired gentleman
It starts up on the button, ticks over sweet, revs nice, everything works as it should, the oil is good, the tyres are good, plastics are good and pretty much unfaded and its MOTed till the 26th aug 2015 I have all the handbooks and service book and a 1st aid kit? It also has a back storeage box thrown into the mix with brackets to put it on should i wish.
If it has had new clocks then im not over worried tbh, Its not going to be hard to keep on the road and i dont tend to think i will lose much if anything when i want to change |
