Evening,

Spotted what could be a bargain on a TDR 125. Asking price is £900 however on first viewing I noticed the chain resting on the swining arm when in neutral, however I'm assured this is normal, never known this before with any previous bikes. In the service history I can see a new chain/sprockets installed Feb this year.

I didn't check if the slack had been taken all the way back and when asked about this the guy said "A garage tightened it but it was too tight".

Bit of a novice here so any constructive advise welcomed.

Which model TDR is it?

The early 'Belgarda' model or the newer TDM style one?

2002 for the newer one I think. I'm just torn as it needs a little TLC but runs ok. Just don't want to buy a nail whilst my van is away for a full refit.

Your not after TDR125 buying advice or guides then, but more along the lines of wanting to know if a specific bike you have spotted that we cannot see, is in good condition and if there are any issues, worn consumables or problems with it before you buy?
