Hey
So I've got a Yamaha RSX100, and the bikes in a bit of a state but I'm hopefully getting it all sorted out over the next few days, now I've got the funds to do it.
Essentially the electrics are terrible. They work, but not fully. If I pull the brake for example, all the other lights will dim, especially in neutral but also while riding. The horn just won't work as the compressor doesn't have enough power to function, however if you hold your finger on the actual horn itself it'll make a little noise, so the thing itself is working. Also the headlamp is the most ineffective thing I've ever seen. I was once on a ride with a mate & it got dark faster than anticipated, I was in front of him on the road & I was actually using his headlamp to see where I was going.
I've changed the battery hoping that would help but it made no difference. Anyway I've got an ohmmeter, a haynes manual with electrical diagrams & a perfectly good brain, if you could give me a point in the right direction with this that'd be great
Cheers! |
