What is the best way to cleanup an oil spillage in my concrete floor garage. Not that it was me that spilt it Razz

Cat litter, as said when i asked the same Very Happy

Get the bigest bag you can and use that, its brilliant stuff, does the job perfectly...

Yep, if you can't get the proper oil absorbant granules from work (does anyone work in engineering these days?) Wink then use cat litter. Just sprinkle it over the stain and lightly brush it in, then leave it for a day or so.


Trouble is, you end up with a lovely clean spot right in the middle of the floor Embarassed

Reminds me of the aftermath of puking on a grotty pub floor when I was 17. My brother went back the next day, and there was a large clean patch where the vomit had eaten away all the muck on the floor before they'd gotten round to mopping it up. Laughing

Cat litter will likely be pretty much the same stuff as those granules you're on about though, it's more or less the same as Fuller's earth. (ish).
