Hi all,

Looking for parts now. Ebay have a whole range and I can probably get it sorted from bits on there. Have a quick question though.

Do bits from J model ZX-6Rs or C model ZX-9Rs fit a G model ZX-6R?

Many bits on ebay say all those models will take the same bits. Is this the case? I certainly hope so as if I have to get new bits, well, I may as well get a new bike if that's the case.

Cheers
R

I'm pretty sure there's other differences, though I'm not sure about specific ones.

yup the engine cases are diferent as well as alot of the engie internals, valves etc. swing arm on the j is diferent to the g as is most of the frame (apart from the main frame which is close enough to fit)

the main section of the frame will fit its just you get extra bits u cant use, steering damper bolt etc

but the sub frame and the swinging arm are diferent

As for the c zx9 some stuff will fit suck as clip ons etc but anything to do with the fairing or engine etc will be too big for the g frame.

all the best

Far as I know, a J1/2 can will fit a G downpipe

Just need to get the downpipe first.

BTW, ebay has saved me £477.03 since I started getting parts.

Yeah the G-J exhausts are very similar and should fit without to much problem.

Thumbs Up
