Trying to remember an advert...

I'm trying to find a track that I "think" was on a TV advert this year. If my memory isn't playing tricks on me, it started with a guy in a diner out the desert and he morphs in to a lion? Then he's flying, swimming, all kinds of cool stuff CGI'd together.

This isn't much help at all but it was a male vocal, made to sound like it was retro/classic style, not modern at all.

I'm thinking it was a honda advert, epic type music but I've checked all the honda adverts from the past year and I can't find it.

It was either a car or something techy related, like a mobile phone because the guy starts off in an American style diner out in the desert, he's on his phone and I'm sure he morphs in to a lion or it comes out of the phone, then it morphs in to the next scene of flying through clouds and so on. It all blends together seamlessly in the advert.

I have the tune in my head but no words, just the rhythm of it and what I remember it sounding like. I've heard the song before but this is the only place I can remember hearing it.

I feel your pain - saw a music video once and it took me about 18 months to finally track down who it was, and the song. Turns out it was "sober" by Tool.
