Following my recent crash I went to pick up my Varadero today armed with two rolls of duck tape and cable ties and rode it home.
Handle bars are slightly out of aliment.
Right foot peg snapped.
Face of the bike front fairing smashed beyond repair had no choice but to remove it at the recovery yard if I was to ride it home it is somewhere safe.
The headlight assembly.
Loom appears to be in tact apart from the indicators wouldn't work back or front and the brake light is permanently on.
Clocks still work.
Mirrors cracked.
Mud guard was bent so that had to go also.
Fairing bracket which took the brunt of the impact is bent although we managed to bend it back.
Everything else is in tact.

Is it a case of buying two circular street lighter lights from ebay along with indicators?
Note I want to spend as minimal as possible getting this back on the road it has already cost be £200 recovery + storage for the night I have my A2 MOD 1 in less than a month.

Just let it die ffs!!
You are the most moronic person i know... You want to spend money on a fucked bike for no real reason.
The sprocket if fucked so youll need a new engine...
You now have no fairing and no headlight so to turn it back to normal youll need a front subframe and fairing and headlight and mudguard...
The bike is now worth fuck all.
i wouldn't be surprised if your forks are bent too.
Just sell it for spares or repair for a few quid then buy something else. ____________________ GOOD GAME BODYGUARD: https://i.imgur.com/8WePGgf.jpg

Yep, just slap any old headlight and Indys on it, don't worry about the bent forks, fucked front mudguard and snapped footpeg....
Then we can all lol like hell when you get turned away from your mod 1 for being a complete and utter bell end.
Just give up. You fail at biking, you fail at lying, and you fail at life in general

I think you need more than just a pair of headlights - you need to think about hiding the electrics and the radiator expansion tank too, or it will look like a dog's dinner.
If you can borrow a bike for your test, bide your time and keep an eye out for some used fairing parts on eBay - the bike will be worth more (and look better) in original trim.
I found these -
eBay item number: 161413218128
eBay item number: 151338422719
eBay item number: 261585172839
eBay item number: 400768295611
eBay item number: 251637557325
There's not much else on eBay at the moment, but if I hear of anything, I will let you know. ____________________ Honda Varadero XL125(V8)

Thanks.
I don't care about aesthetics I just need it to be road legal it has done over 70,000 miles wasn't worth a great deal before the accident so I don't want to spend a ton of money when I will inevitably be getting a new bike once I acquire my A2 licence. |

You have taken a perfectly serviceable bike one of the best 125's and turned it into a piece of junk...
Go buy a cheap scooter for a few months and destroy that.. ____________________ Fuelly My Z1000SX

I bought some of those universal pegs when I was knocked off my Daelim two years ago they wouldn't fit?
I don't think aluminium can be welded either couldn't on my Daelim. |

You need a TIG welder to do that. Maybe Screwfix has one available for a few £££. |

Have you had the bike checked out professionally? I think it's time to say bye bye to it, it looks too fucked imo. ____________________ https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=284963 - What to expect on a MOD 1 (contains video footage) - Posted by BG5067

This bike was a zombie that needed to be left to rust in pieces BEFORE you crashed it; it sure as fuck isn't worth fixing the damage you just done to get it back to the fucked state it was already in before.

I don't want to be buying another 125 when I have my MOD 1 A2 in less than a month as I said. |
You will be lucky to still have a licence in less than a months time.
Crash was your fault.
If you manage to hang on to your licence that was already teetering on mandatory ban points, with or without threat of revocation under New-Driver-Act probation, before driving without Due Care and Attension into an Alpha-Romeo, and boncing into a concrete wall...
Liklihood of any-one offering you insurance for anythig that has a number-plate, for even remotely affordable money, is at best, slim to positively anorexic.
With possible prosecution, loss of licence and potentially large insurance claims from two parties pending against you....
You take the hint! Get a bus-pass. let the por Very-Oh-Dear-Oh DIE.
Even if you bodge it further beyond belief and back into temporary service, your biking wings gonna soon be seriously clipped anyway.
Give it a decent funeral, and work out how you are going to get around without ANY motored transport for possibly the next five to ten years...
IF you cant do anything to pull the fat out the fire... like maybe saying 'sorry' to the woman whose car you smashed and bloke whose wall you destroyed, and using the money you claim to have saved up for a 'big bike' you don't have licence entitlement for, even f you pass A2 tests..... and making good their losses outside their insurance co's while hoping plod don't pursue you to the full extent of their pleasure... sorry powers.
Meanwhile, why the fuck should we give a shit about helping you fx up your bike, when you dont give a shit about the blokes home you have damaged, the woman's car you have smashed up, and seem to believe that t is all their fault and you shouldn't have to accept any responsibility, and that that's their problem, 'cos YOU shouldn't have to watch where you are fucking going, on a bike you don't look after and do little but ride, recklessly, into the ground?
Till you grow up, learn to take responsibility for your own actions, look after your own shit, and respect other people's WHY the fuck should any-one give a shit, or offer you the time of DAY let alone, ways to help you carry on as you are, a fucking menace to navigation on Britain's roads, suggesting ways for you to make your fucked bike serviceable again?
Wont help you, a proven irresponsible incompetent road user; wont help us, letting you carry n a hazard wrecking other peoples homes, vehicles and livelihoods.
And if you cant live with that reality, don't. Change it one way or the other, cos honestly, we don't care any more. ____________________ My Webby'Tef's-tQ, loads of stuff about my bikes, my Land-Rovers, and the stuff I do with them!

the money you're looking at spending on doing this would be better spent on a cheap scoot to keep you mobile and able to get to work while you wait for your tests to come around.
Looking at that, you need new forks / to straighten the forks
you need to fit headlights and adjust them correctly
you ideally need to fit indicators
you need to mount the coolant bottle
you also need to check the radiator isn't damaged and leaking.
you also need a foot peg
The police are able to pull over anything they think wouldn't pass an MOT and insist that an MOT is carried out on the vehicle within a set length of time, which it must pass.
seriously, buy something cheap but running to last you a few months. ____________________ Looking to pass your CBT / Bike tests in Bury Lancashire? try www.focusridertraining.co.uk Would recommend.
