Can I call myself a biker riding a 125 or do I have to have passed my test? If it's the latter then I can officially call myself a biker because I've just PASSED MOD 2! I'm well chuffed!
Second attempt. I dropped the bike on my first attempt Embarassed instafail. Never mind, passed this time despite being as nervous as hell. 4 minors:- hesitation at a junction, an instance of incorrect road positioning, slightly over the limit in a 20 zone and a dodgy hill start. The examiner said that these were probably down to nerves. So ripped the L plates off the bike, I used mine, road home and am having a celebratory bifter. you have no idea how relieved I am. Now to learn to ride properly.

Good idea, that'd save more money in the long run instead of him having to buy a bike to learn on and whatnot. I have to sell my 125 in order to upgrade, and i cant afford two bikes even though I really like my 125 D: I'm a little too attached to it but I think the fascination of a bigger bike will get rid of that feeling when the time comes haha

Well done for passing your test, most people don't call themselves 'biker's'. I tend to think of myself a well padded grumpy bastard and as for what other people think I really couldn't give toss. Laughing

Sorry if this comes across harsh, butTBH really who care's? and why would you even want to? I've had a bike license for 15years and I don't call myself a biker, I have just liked bikes for 30years, and I sometimes mess/fiddle with them or occasionally ride one.

I used to be into the whole bike meetings, pub nights, ride outs and visiting biker events/weekends and races, along with several uk camping trips by bike, use of bike for commuting, transport to holidays, and 2trips to France. Off road trail riding, competition trials riding and schoolboy MX. But I'm disinterested in all the above really now.

If you feel you have to do certain things, ride a certain size bike, or use it for certain purposes to feel you can call yourself a biker, then who would want to be one?

Everyones opinion of what a biker is, differs.

Some include scooter riders...some dont
some include 125 riders..... some dont
Some include "L" plate riders.... some dont
some include dirt bikes.... some dont
Some people say your only a "Biker" if you use it daily in all weather!

the list goes on Smile
I guess if YOU feel like a biker... then that's good enough Wink

Bacon

When you understand the significance you can call yourself a biker*

Jewish and Muslim bikers may substitute quorn 'bacon' or turkey rashers.

When you time having run-out of Weetabix to coincide with Sainsbury's closing so that there's really no alternative but for a 76 mile ride to the 'nearest' 24hr Tesco to get some more.

Ho-hum . . .

Dunno
probably something like
You need tea bags and instead of walking up to the shop you
go on the bike.
An hour later you get back, realise you've forgotten to
get tea bags and gasping for a cuppa, you walk up the shop.
