Hi, I am taking part in the following event, I am a gentleman after all.

The gentlemans ride.

Any money raised goes to Prostate cancer, so may one day be of benefit and is specifically aimed at all you fellow gentlemen Smile

So if you are finding it hard to pee or get an erection, this may be the cause you may want to donate to!! Wink

Thanks for listening,

Alex

If you're finding it difficult to pee when you have an erection my expert advice is to seek a consultancy with your local nurse.

Failing that just ask your mum to have a look and she can put a plaster on it and kiss it better. Wink

My missus told me to go and see the doctor, to "get some of those pills that will make your erection last a bit longer".

You should have seen the look on her face when I came back and gave her a bottle of slimming pills!

What bike will you be riding?
Your tag line hints at a Yamaha XVS 650 Dragster.
Unless it's undefined I can't see it fitting into the categories in the DGR site...

I also note how DGR seem to discourage the wearing of any protective gear. I guess you may get away with an old wax jacket though (it was good enough in the 60s, 70s and 80s don't ya know).

Best of luck Thumbs Up

Hi,

Will be on the trusty old XVS 650 as according to the VJMC any Japanese bike over 15 years old is a classic and it is also a custom bike so fits in with this years description:

"Welcome to the 2014 Distinguished Gentleman's Ride, an international event for Classics, café racers, bobbers, trackers, customs, modern classics, classic scooters & undefinable 2/3 wheeled machines"

There is some controversy over protection so I will be using kevlers and body armour under the selected garment for the day, which is mentioned in the ride details this year.

As is a prerequisite I will also have a neatly ironed hankerchief with such garment in case of emergencies or the need for a quick fap Laughing

So far raised £110 in two days chaps, may help one day, you never know??

Tally ho, pip pip.

Quoted from the FAQ page:

"What happens if it rains?
Stayed tuned via our Facebook page for updates. Safety comes first. We can postpone the event for a period of time if necessary. The hosts of the rides will also alert to a postponed event via email. "

Shocked
Seriously, if it rains they just cancel the whole thing?

Suprised there hasn't been some PC sexism uproar about it being a 'gentlemans ride' more than anything Thinking

From the website:

"I am a fine gentle lady. Can I take part in the ride?

Of course. Retrieve your tweed riding suit from the camphorwood chest and sign up for your nearest ride post haste! *The only stipulation is that when speaking in the company of gentlemen you only talk about subjects you know, such as knitting, fluffy kittens and preparing yourself for the gentlemans return"

* I added that sentence old boy, lol. Razz
