Today, when I was browsing on the internet I got to the ,,Tomy Racing Turbo'' wheel. I remember I saw it as a small lad and always wanted it, well never got it.

So, what's your toy you have never gotten? Smile

I wanted the TOMY thing as well. Never got it and REALLY wanted an Evel Knieveltoy. A jewish kid up the road had
one of them and I was so envious of him. Not so envious of the MASSIVE shnozz he grew up to have years later though
and horrified as a child to learn what they had done to his knob. Shocked

But I did get a Big Trak, not great at stairs it turned out.
And scared the crap out of the cat asleep half way down them. Laughing
Not as durable as the design suggested.

I remember getting the Vertibird and it was great for the first day or so, I considered cutting the cable to see if it would fly further Wink

I always wanted a Bigtrak but never got one Sad
But...I saw one at a car boot sale a few years ago and had to buy it!
Shame it didn't have the trailer though Wink

well guys..the evil K and big track are available as reproductions..I had both as a kid.....I went for the big track over a tamiya sand scorcher 1/10 rc buggy....but think the later was more fun!! saved all my pocket money and weekend job money and bought a second hand one on my 13th birthday......oddly enough spent time in my adult life as an avid biker/ motorcycle instructor/bike racer.....and CNC programmer.....funny how the toys you have as a kid must effect your life choices later Smile

P.S. currently a self employed photographer.....blame that on getting my bubble gum joe spy camera aged 9,when you sent off 20 or so wrappers and a couple of quid for a crappy plastic 110 camera Embarassed

I had one of those. If I remember correctly, there was a knack to hitting the clocks reset button just right to refill the fuel, but not reset the mileage.

I always wanted a Hornby train set when I was a kid, but never got one. Had a scalextric though, the "Pole Position" one. Always fancied replacing the cars with XJ220s, but never did.

Also, I never got a tracy island. I wanted one the same year everyone else did so everywhere was sold out. Instead, my parents got me the cloud base, full set of angels, SPV, spectrum saloon, spectrum jet and a mysteron light-rings gun with a voice changer built in.

I had a pretty good childhood all things considered.

Ah the TOMY Racing Turbo! I had one of those as a kid, played it so much it broke, absolutely loved it. Forgot what it was called until this thread, nice bit of nostalgia from about two decades ago. Probably still a fun toy now, even in this age of advanced console gaming.

I had one, I think my nephew has it now. The thing is nearly 30 years old!

We didn't have many of those kinds of toys like the Tomy thing, my friend did and I'd play it around his, looking back I'm glad his parents bought it and not mine, what a crock of shit and a waste of money!

There was a really cool one (I remember...) that my friend also had, you'd actually stick something to the front of the TV, like a rail that went across with a little car on it. You'd control the car left and right with a steering wheel and then you'd put a video in specially made for the game that'd showed the road as you 'drove' along it. You'd have to steer as if you were driving etc, and at the end it'd give you a score on how well you did.

Anyone remember that and know what it was called?

I had one, the best non mechanical/electrical ''toy'' I've ever gotten. I built cars from the lego and then raped the carpet for hours. Razz
