Sudden stop, accidental hitting kill switch?
Flick kill switch a few times and make sure in on position.

Any clicking when hit starter?

If there is I would say look to the starter motor.

Try putting in gear and rocking forward. Or sort of try bump starting it in 2nd. Then hit the starter button. If fires into life clean/refurb the starter motor (I did a thread).

I also note mine does not like being wet. More difficult to start. I am suspecting a leak to earth but it will be a sod to find. What voltage on battery?

If not the above then when you find cause/solution please post Thumbs Up

Remember hitting mine when new to Pan one night on a pitch black country road while trying to feel for the main beam switch. Clutch in and a WTF moment.

I was just about to suggest this.

Exact same thing happened to me on the VFR my way back from a rally on Sunday.

Happened while I was moving which was the confusing thing, bike just suddenly died, no rev counter, no engine, no started but lights still on.

Took me a good three or four minutes of head-scratching and poking about at the clutch switch 'till I noticed the kill switch was off. Someone must have been fiddling with it while it was parked and balanced it halfway off because I never touch the killswitch.

Good one, Rog, armchair expert, you'd be dangerouse if you had half a clue. Rolling Eyes

Excuses, it was already being taken apart when I stopped and the story of "I was riding along and it just died" went to "I was sitting in traffic and drumming on the tank and..." Idea

Swears he didn't hit it, so it's the "half flipped" story. Small drama, not many prides destroyed.

Stopped for a nice lady in a Honda car as well. Being Civic, d'y'see? That was properly mullered though, and she wouldn't even hear of me getting behind her and thrusting hard. Sad
