No that's not a proposition.

So I was filtering this morning on a nsl section coming into a 40 zone and gave the pipes a healthy razz to get past three or four cars trundling behind a learner. I wasn't utterly hooning it but I really didn't look at my speed. I gave the learner a bit more leeway than I would usually before swinging back over to the left leaving plenty room clear for the oncoming traffic.

Anyway, as I swing back over slowing down as I come in I see about three cars back in the oncoming traffic a Plod van. I'm pretty fucking sure I was over 40 in the zone as I came in but not massively and the overtake could have been construed as 'spirited'.

Plod van didn't turn round so question is, what are the chances of a NIP landing on my doorstep for a 'careless driving' bumming session?

It looked to be an older van which I'm guessing might not have had rear ANPR.

Not that I'm being a fanny about it but whaddya reckon?

Non-existant.

They'd have pulled you over at the time if there was an issue.

Thought if it wasn't an actual set up speed trap/parked up camera van thingy they had to stop you then and there. Infact the fact I still have a licence makes me fairly sure that speeding past any old random plod car/van/bicycle doesn't result in an envelope landing on the doormat.

Relax, police can only see you if you're going slow, so the faster the better!

The vans with the speed camera gadgets (not anpr, that's different) must be stationary to catch you and clearly show the speed camera symbol on the van. Sounds like just a patrol van shipping the occupants to the nearest cafe for breaky.

I've bombed past police on numerous occasions, all while clearly on the opposite lane and with dark visor. Never been fingered yet.

You're safe, but it sounds like you were overtaking not filtering or am I reading it wrong?

No you're right it was overtaking not filtering, I just say that because usually there's oncoming traffic to dodge between on a hashed area at this part but it was clear allowing a blast (no solid lines to observe)

I shall cease my womanly quivering and resume normal manly activities immediately.

Relax, do you really think that they can see you eating donuts and drinking cofee while talking on the phone with a girlfriend?

Unless you crash in their van you are safe Laughing

Wheelied past an oncoming police car last night, panicked for a while then some blue lights came flashing up behind me about thirty seconds later, that set the adrenaline going.

I pulled into the left, worrying about the state my licence was about to get left in, considering I already have a warning type thing for a wheelie. Pulled in, and the car went straight past me and into town. Never felt such relief in my life.
