Hi,

Have a sym symphony 125 2011 which was making a strong tapping noise from the head. Assumed it was valve clearences, and it was. But its due too the follower on the rocker having destroyed it self and creating about 1cm of play!

Does anyone have any idea where to source replacements?

Thanks

There's a cylinder head on eBay but a new follower is likely to be a 'main dealer only' part.

If one follower is dead the other is probably well along the way. I'd source a complete head and also find out what caused the first follower to fail. Probably lack of oil supply to the cam.

thanks for the links and info.

The bike is a friends at work and its got a unbelievable 45000KM's on the clock. I almost find it hard to believe for its age!

The mileage is whats caused it to fail i believe, along with probably poor oil and lack of maintenance.

Cylinder head sounds like the solution

You could probably strip the bad bits off the old one and get some money back on eBay!
