Shocked Indeed.

I'll try not to remember that the next time I'm in a car doing that speed...

I doubt there's anyone who did*.

*yes, I'm sure you pedants can find someone hitting a wall of pillows and kittens or someone who got flung off their bike and over just as it hit a wall.

Ride bike, hit wall, fly over wall, land far away.

It is possible.

A technique demonstrated here by Conor Cummins.

Obviously he skipped the actually hitting the wall part and, perhaps unwisely, used a big mountain instead to gain the necessary altitude to clear the wall, but he gets a solid 9/10 for effort.

You didn't hit a wall, unless you hit the wall...

I know of a man that hit a wall feet first, with just a bit of fibreglass and tube in between.

That's 108mph - 0 in 26 inches, with the driver subjected to 180G, in round numbers.

Seen that vid before, it's quite sobering.

I don't know if it was 5th Gear again but I remember seeing a 60mph crash test into a tree (that was about to be dug up to build a bypass or something).

Showing what would happen if you just didn't take the corner on a country lane and hit a well anchored, solid wooden pole.

It was pretty devastating to the car... think the tree ended up just inches infront of the rear seats
