ZXR 400

I am goin to be getting a ZXR 400 in the next month or so. Cant wait!

Is there anything that specifically goes wrong with the ZXR 400?

What are they like as a bike to maintain?

And obviously what are they like to ride?

I know the suspension is very hard on them but how does that come across in the handling of the bike?

Handle like they are on rails, rear is stiffbut if your slightly heavy like me Wink

then it shouldn't be a problem. All the powers at the top end being an inline 4. Not had anything go wrong with mine bar blowing my fork seals. (they can wheelie) Razz

There top bikes as long as your not 6"+. The seat height is about an inch lower than your NSR but the width and length make it bigger if you see what I mean.

Well im 6ft. I have sat on one before but never ridden. i obviously will have a ride before i part with my hard earned cash but that may be a problem. I have heard lots of stories about people getting cramp in their legs when riding them for over 15 min!

Does naybody know if their is alot of truth in this?

My old gixxer 750 was massive, and that was more cramped than the ZXR4. I'm only 5"8' and the ZXR fits perfect. Best to ride someones first.

Their engines last twice as long as a gsxr400 does - I'd expect work to be done on one around the 40,000 mile mark. Give or take 5000

ive ridden 2 hours on mine

bit of cramp in the behind the knees bit cos of the joggers under the trousers bunchin

and im 6ft its not a major problem

my engine was thrashed and went at 24k Sad

Ridden for four hours (200 miles) right across Wales, Deeside to Cardiff and was OK. You feel a bit stiff on all sports bikes.

Im 6"2 and I fit on mine fine. I've done over 6 hour rides before. Aches a little but tis all fun Mr. Green
