Hello everyone Smile I am finally going helmet shopping after a year of having the same helmet! I am going to Newcastle tomorrow and was wondering what shops have a good, wide variety. I have googled some shops but it can be hard to tell which ones have a good stock in and which ones don't.

So if you can recommend any then please let me know Smile

Thanks Smile Thumbs Up

What's wrong with the lid that you've had for a year?

Does it have to be bought tomorrow or could you not visit shops that you know on a day that you're not in Newcastle?

Confused

Custom lids on west gate road. Just make sure that you don't pay the sticker price. Expect to pay at least 10% less

Proto at the North end of Westgate road has some bargains, expect to be greeted (by which I mean pestered till you leave the shop Rolling Eyes) upon entering.

I should maybe mention the one i currently have has been dropped a few times and was used when I was involved in an accident. The visor is also scratched so it needs changed and I can't justify paying a lot of money for a visor when I need a helmet anyways!

And yes it needs to be bought tomorrow. Where I live there isn't many helmet shops and from the ones they are they offer a limited selection.

Thanks for the suggestions NM and Moxey Thumbs Up

+1 for custom lids.

I got my first kit in there and it took me three trips of going in, trying things on, then going away and shopping around etc. before actually buying. Apologised to the fella who was helping me (same one the last two times) and he was completely understanding and said I'd be daft not to look around. Got a decent discount off too.
