Pretty harrowing stuff, and really hard to watch.

USE LANDSCAPE MODE, MORONS.

Good news: the tiger is fine. Thumbs Up

He should've stopped clapping his hands and making the animal annoyed. Was he chanting a soothing prayer perhaps ?

Think he actually caught it on the chops a few times with his hands

Nae wonder it shredded him deaded..

Gotta love the modern way, people see something bad about to happen and decide to record it for facebook likes ( in portrait which also pisses me off ) instead of doing anything to help or maybe distract the thing or give the guy shitting himself some advice maybe. Laughing

Well, the least they can do is offer her some free tickets. Maybe it's got a taste for that family now.

^^^ I thought you just showed them one of Tefs posts, so it would either nod off or get really angry and shred you in an instant.

This is a captive tiger, so it's used to human contact right? I'd have* tried to treat it like any other cat, let it smell me and try to make it friendly until help came.

*This statement makes the rather bold assumption that I wouldn't be curled up in a nice tight ball, whimpering, begging for my mother and making all sorts of outrageous promises to various deities.

Through the bars.

It does actually look like it was playing, "friendly" like.

That would be my "plan". Also, I'd piss and shit myself, on purpose like, to smell less palatable, and make a carefully high pitched screaming sound to confuse it. Whistle

It certainly did look like it was investigating and playing until the rocks started hitting it. Then it decided it'd bugger off and take its new plaything with it.

After the grab it would've certainly recognised the tasty nature of its plaything...

I'm no expert but, don't they have tranquilizer guns there? One shot, the tiger hits the hay, the fella gets stuffed animal to remember this day and everybody goes home happy. Then, the fella goes to the local pub and tells the story of how he fought a tiger and won to his mates.

Article Roger posted states that it takes 15 minutes before it works. Given it was over in 5 the outcome would have been the same.

Article also states that the tiger is normally playful, but with everyone throwing stones at it, the tiger got pissed off. Laughing

The trope you are looking for is:

https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TranquillizerDart

Oh and

https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/InstantSedation

Tranq guns don't work like the movies, they take time. So sure a bad dude may well shoot Bruce Willis with a tranq dart and he'll pass out in seconds. But if he passes out in seconds it is probable he's never going to wake up again. Similar to why there are anaesthetists in surgery constantly adjusting the drugs which keep you under.

Too much and you get a dirt sleep. Too little and well you can't move and you can feel them operating on you.

instead of cowering praying, stand up and make yourself look bigger
with cats eye contact is important, stare it down
cats don't like that and will back off, though I wouldn't want to put that to the test with a full grown Tiger

So, out of "fight" or "flight" he chose neither.

I holla, but bear in mind that most of these mokes aren't even carrying for the zombocalypse, let alone unlikely events like tiger maulings.
