As long as you are going 12v to 12v, or 6v to 6v, then yes.

There will be a big gap and the chain will be slack.

I know I'm being picky but ask in the workshop section don't ya know old bean.

Bad form not to squire. You don't want to come across as one of those oiky chav types.

I'm off for tiffin, toodle pip.

In all honesty, you are better off just buying a complete electrics set for a pit bike, and converting it over to a CDI controlled ignition system.

The parts you will need:

Loom and stator:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-WIRING-LOOM-HARNESS-CDI-STATOR-PLATE-ELECTRICS-SPARK-PLUG-PIT-BIKE-TYPE-2-/151426725728?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts_13&hash=item2341bc7760

Flywheel:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pit-Bike-FLYWHEEL-Fly-Wheel-Fits-110cc-120cc-125cc-Under-Side-Casing-Over-Stator-/171478198531?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item27ece5a903

The above will convert it over to electronic ignition, so no more points to go wrong etc.

It'll start easier in the cold, it'll run better, and it'll be less to maintain.
