Hi guys I'm just wondering if the new style honda hornet can be used on the A2 restricted license and if it can does anybody have one and what's your views on it?

It can't unfortunately, all Hornet 600's are too powerful to be restricted.

75kW is more than 70kW, right?

Hornets are far to inferior for A2.

If they make the restrictor kits then I guess they can be restricted? Not talking about the 2009 model but the 2001. My mate got a hornet from a dealer and they restrcited it and he insured it as "restricted" and on A2 license, not the old 33bhp... Rolling Eyes

The only new style Hornet worth mentioning is the pointy tail model.

The one with the heightened seat above the tail is wrong.

Who's "they"? "Kickstart engineering" was making A2 35kW kits for Gixxer 600s, which have never been under 70kW at the crank.

That does bring into question whether these kits even do what they claim in bringing it down to 35kW.

2001 looks to be just over 70kW as well.

He's the one committing the, uh, "offence".

Should be fine though.
