If you look in the Buy/Sell section of BFC there are MiVV Race Cans for sale at pretty cheap prices...

I was looking for a road legal can but should I chance getting a race can for the road?

I'm very tempted as it's a Titanium can for my bike, not a smidgen off £160 with free 24hr delivery. I can't see many deals like that kicking about. What you guys think, take the chance?

What makes race cans not road legal? Is it just because there're more noisey?

Mostly noise, but emission's have something to do with it too. You're getting more fumes out by having a race can with a lower resistance to gas flow. And since you've got a free-flowing exhaust, this allows you fresh charge/air to get through the engine and be combusted, however, improper combustion can churn out many things, such as carbon monoxide - i think that having a race can or full system can increase the CO emissions - my mate had a full magnex system on his 3 series BMW, which was subsequently junked because it's emissions of CO were 20% higher than standard. Same applies to bikes.

Bikes are very efficiant compared to cars though, so emissions is not such a problem. Also bike engines tend to be 'tuned' a lot better then cars, and will run quite cleanly.
