Buying some decent gloves for winter not bothering with heated grips.

Whats the best gloves you have had for winter, meaning the ones that stopped the wind chill getting in the most?

My Heine Gericke Master 4 gloves were the best I've ever had.

Good luck.

Two finger lobster type gloves work very well. You just have to get used to the big fat gloves.

Get a neck tube as well to keep the wind off your neck.

Most of the time your hands get cold because you don't have enough layers on your body to keep your blood warm.

+1 for muffs. You'll get over how ghey they look very quickly. Then you can use your summer gloves year round. They keep your hands and gloves bone dry and warm.

The old Hein Gericke 2 finger (or is it 3?) finger gloves best I've had.

Do not go for the 5 finger version (ok, 2nd hand now). I got a pair at a car boot sale, the lining keeps pulling out. Not had that issue with the 2/3 version.

Other makes now available. I'm thinking of trying a Held pair. This is as they seem to have taken the mantle of German kit supplier and there's a GetGeared in Leeds that I can get to.

Never tried the 2 finger Pathan ones, but the 5 finger ones were rubbish. Not only cold, they're not water proof at all. Do not recommend them at all.

I swear by Gerbing's heated gloves myself, especially now they seem to have sorted out all the reliability issues.

These:

Had them about 3 years now, they're still in good nick and they've been waterproof throughout.

Can't fault them for ~£35 or whatever I paid.

Anyone use the Knox Zero 2 gloves? Need some proper winter gloves soon and these look really good - proper protection including the SPS system, and outdry (basically goretex proshell).

Don't want muffs, I'll get heated grips once I get a "proper" bike Wink Plus my journey to work might only be 20 minutes.

I bought a pair of Oxford handlebar muffs last year. I fitted them and they were quite frankly dangerous, pressing in the brake level almost constantly. Are there any better ones than the Oxford trash out there?

Literally just been looking at these. Don't foul the fairing at all at full lock?

They sell different models depending on your bike, so no, they don't foul anything at full lock. They also have a quite a sturdy construction so they don't touch the controls at all.

Richa Cold Protect GTX. They are warm and still 100%
waterproof after one year. They are a little bulky, but you
can expect that from any winter gloves. The breathable
liner makes them quite comfortable in hot weather.

I have both these and the Richa Cold Protect gloves.

The muffs are many many times better than the gloves.

Another vote for the tucano muffs.

They do prevent you pulling the clutch all the way in on Mrs stinkwheels CB500 though. Not a big problem in fairness.

Equally as helpful as the gloves themselves though I find wearing thin thermal-liner gloves makes a huge difference. I use ski-ones but i'm sure some generic cheapies wouldn't be much worse. Have ridden in minus temps for hours at a time on the ZX with no muffs or heated grips and my hands remained usable and frost-bite free Razz

I have some of these waterproof over gloves. They make any glove fully waterproof but also stop the wind chill
