At a grand total of 12mph, was doing a left hand turn just after a set of lights, mostly fell on top of me so i saved it mostly.

The bike seems to run okay as i managed to do the journey home.

At the moment all i can see that's wrong is the clutch lever being bent almost all the way back round and the foot rest seems to have bent as i struggled with a gear change.

I heard a bit of a rattle once i got when putting it in the garage so potentially one of the clutch disks have gone.

Does everyone recommend i take it to the local dealer/garage for them to have a look at it or should i try myself?

Did the clutch cover take a hit? If not, I can't really see why the clutch would be affected.

y

It fell onto my leg so could potentially be something else, I did manage to use all the gears coming home.

Glad to read your not badly hurt and it was just a low speed slip OP.

If you low sided the bike on the left, I can't imagine the clutch would have sustained damage as the basket is located behind the right hand engine casing.
If the bike runs and all the gears change, I doubt there's any mechanical damage at all.

So perhaps just a case of new clutch and gear levers. Maybe check your bars and pegs aren't bent/twisted, and get back on whilst learning from the experience Thumbs Up .

Glad you are OK - but did the bike lose any oil, as that could affect the clutch.

The rattle could be something else if the bike went down on it's left side.

Haven't noticed any oil leaking as of yet.
