Hi all

I was just wondering which way the two oil holes should face on the clutch roller bearing spacer. These holes feed oil to the roller bearing, but there are no holes on the other side.

I'm guessing towards the outside of the bike but none of the service or parts manual show which way it faces.

Edit: Solved now - after a closer inspection it appears these holes are just there so you can remove the inner spacer easier, the oil comes from the drive shaft in the middle and passes through...

Thanks

Laurence

Yep otherwise the roller bearings wouldn't have anyway of getting oil - I meant I am not sure if the two outside facing holes should be inside towards the engine or the other way.

I see that the Yamaha 2006 service manual is much better and shows a picture of the two oil feed holes facing outside away from the bike but there were a fair few changes in this model compared to the older ones.

Thanks

Which diagram did you look at the 06 one? It's nice and clear on that one but anything 05 and below for the R6 does not appear to show which way around it goes! Pain in the backside!

Cheers
