Hello BCF massive

What does it mean when turning on the choke fails to do anything?

Also the bike seems to pull un-evenly in the high RPMs but when idling it is rock-solid.

Cheers.

Fails to do anything in what way? More description!

Could be a snapped choke cable, could be you misunderstanding what a choke should do, could be any number of things in between.

I.E I start the bike from cold and it just dies. I turn the choke on and start, it dies. The choke being on or off makes no difference to the revs.

Also another point... when I return home after a long ride (the bike is hot) I leave it idling outside whilst opening the garage and it gradually slows down till it dies.

QFWTF.

Well, it sounds like your fuelling is off.

Without seeing your plugs or fiddling with the choke, idle mixture and idle speed, that's about all I'd venture to guess.

Have you done any of the latter?

Sounds like a fuelling issue there. What is the idle set to (hot engine)?

When warm it sits around 1.3 - 1.4 and of course if left it will gradually decrease un-till stalling. I'm sure this is because its a 125 but the top end seems "jumpy" and there's not much go beyond 7k and I understand the peak power and torque are at 10-11 rpm...

Well, the choke does not work. I have not touched the Idle mixture yet, I turned up the Idle speed a little bit to compensate for the lack of choke although It has not made much difference.

I was going to remove and sonic clean the carbs then re-balance, re-fit and install a new air-filter. I presume this would fix 90% of fueling issues.
