You mean when music was actually played by musicians? Cool

I tend to listen to a lot of music from ye olden days, as well as more modern stuff.

Older stuff generally consists of the following but, not exclusively: Zappa, Cream, Hendrix, Captain Beefheart, Specials, Parliament/Funkadelic, Tom Waits (old and new), Bob Marley and the Wailers, Pink Floyd, Al Green, Otis Redding, Curtis Mayfield, New York Dolls, Patti Smith....

There is nothing in the "new" stuff that I like so all of my music is old. God I sound like my mother but hey ho.

I spend my days listening to Zeppelin, Hendrix, ACDC, Floyd etc. Newest I listen to is Stone Sour, Rammstein and the likes.

I recently discovered Betty Davis the funk singer (not Bette Davis the film star) -

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvrtV4YgXfg

I've loved 70s soundtracks and library music for years, but there's a new band called Calibro 35 which does this stuff really well too -

Yeah I can stand a bit of library stuff too - if it's the funkier end of things. I got a KPM comp recently - that music for dance floors one or whatever it is. I like some of the '70s italian porn and horror stuff as well.

Me and my mates in my yoof were all in to heavy rock. That meant AC/DC, UFO, Motorhead, Sabbath, Zep, etc etc. Still listen to it all today.

I remember a few of us were in to one Spooky Tooth track in particular, and I could have sworn it was from the Spooky Two album, but flicking through it, nothing seems that familiar Confused

Always liked Cream, Hendrix, the Who, Stones etc, and still listen to The Doors and Creedence Clearwater Revival a lot as well.

I also like a lot of blues, both old and new. Old stuff includes Muddy Waters, B.B King, Albert King (live at the Filmore in particular) etc. I got into blues from a curiosity in what Jimmy Page had done before Zeppelin, and that was The Yardbirds. That led to John Mayall's Bluesbreakers (especially loved the Eric Clapton album from 1966), Fleetwood Mac with Peter Green and Jeremy Spencer (after their blues days, Mac became a non-entity for me). And those led to all the old American blues greats. Still listen to all this, mixed with more recent stuff, but still in the same vein.

I just listened to Wings, Venus & Mars album.

So, my new old favourite is Letting go

Which, on the album follows my other new old favourite: the rather strange but quite funky Magneto and Titanium Man

Wings Over America (live) - brilliant medley opens the album: Venus & Mars/Rock Show/Jet. Medicine Jar is another favourite of mine. That album is all the Wings you'll ever need Thumbs Up
