Parking at The Royal London Hospital

Hi guys, I've had a look on the Tower Hamlets site for mc parking and it seems there's only one mc parking bay near the hospital, I tried to take a look at the location on google street view and there definitely isn't a bay there judging by that. Unlike other London boroughs Tower Hamlets doesn't allow parking a motorcycle in resident bays without a relevant permit. - Why some places make it so difficult for us is beyond me, incredibly backwards.

So I was just wondering if anyone has had the pleasure of visiting the hospital on their bike and if they found anywhere to park? I can't really take public transport as I'll be needing to shoot back to work afterwards.

Use Ste's site to find a nearby bay but go the hospital first and ride round the site. At my local there is no designated bike bays but plenty of bikes parked up on nooks and cranny's (redundant pathways etc). Just make sure none have had parking tickets applied. Thumbs Up

Drive into Newman St from New Road at the back of the Hospital, look over to the right where the Newman Dental Hospital is just before the Zebra crossing. There are strips of land about 3 foot wide with concreted in stones, park on there just don't overhang the pavement.

I have parked here in Minories car park its multistory car park and its free for motorcycles with dedicated bays, I think it is not far from the hospital?

Can you still do that? I've parked there on Stepney way I think but not for some time now.

There they leave you alone, with the stones in the concrete it can't be classed as pavement. Elsewhere? depends on traffic wardens.
Last time I parked there was 3-4 months ago and it was fine.

Go to Sainsbury's across the road to the hospital (entrance off of Cambridge Heath Road), ride around the barrier into the multi-storey car park (it's cut short to let bikes in) and park on the top floor, I think a bay is marked up for motorcycles opposite the top of the ramp.

It's free, well they can't stop you leaving the same way you came in anyway, that's where I park when doing site work in the area.
