Hi,

Thanks firstly for taking the time to have a look, any help at all would be great. So my Xr 125 is a 2004 model dry stored and serviced regularly since I bought it just over a year ago, there was 5000 miles on the clock when I bought it last year and is now on just over 9000, the bike sat for a few years before I purchased it in a shed, but ran fine so I just gave it a good service and have not had a problem with it all year until I was on my way home the other day , I was doing around 50 mph and from no where the bike felt like it started to lose power, I initially thought fuel was running low, switched it to my reserve and nothing engine died and just would start, even with a bump, rolled the bike round to a friends who stayed close by to have a look to see if it was something stupid, I did the usual , fuses, made sure it was getting a spark, checked it was getting fuel everything looked good. After not finding a problem I stripped and cleaned the carb with compressed air and made sure the floats where not sticking, I then Cleaned out the air box and filter and replaced he spark plug as I did not appear to be getting a blue spark and thought this maybe the problem, still no joy so I thought it could be the coil which I had a spare which gave me a nice blue spark but still nothing even with a little bit of fuel poured directly into the head it didn’t fire at all. Today I tested the compression and I got just under 50 psi which im thinking is way to low but not 100%, at a sort of educated guess ( Im No Mechanic ) possibly bent or burnt one of my vales but im really not sure however I did notice how lean the original plug was when I took it out white and dry which cant be good !, when im bumping it I can feel the engine turning over smooth and haven’t heard any bangs or rattling, Totally stuck and can’t really afford the cost of a garage at the moment lol really missing my bike  any help or info would be brilliant cheers

Same happened with mine. I had blown it, needed new piston and cylinder kit.

These drink oil, have you checked how much you've got in there? I ran mine under minimum and it died Mad
