So I had my Mod 1 practice run the other day (after 4 years on a CBT) aside from misunderstanding almost every instruction the first few times, I was cool with the Manouvres.
Then right at the very end, the Instructor waves me over to gate, I misunderstand and then don't have enough room to turn around, so come to a stop at almost full lock by the fence.
I spazz and it begins to keel over, I put my leg out to brace it and it ends up dropping a foot or 2 onto the exhaust.
...I'm wondering, are they likely to ask one to pay up after the fact?
(I neglected to notice/remember if I signed anything in regard to it, yeah I am that stupid)
I asked the instructor after he came to help pick it up "Is there much damage?" he replied "I dunno... are you alright?" then went off to keep instructing the other lad doing his run.
It did ride back from the Test Centre at 70 tho so don't think the bars were bent or owt.
They seem like decent fellas, more than anything I am fucked off at myself, and pissed that at the least I scratched up their exhaust.
TL:DR Got confused, dropped training bike at standstill, didn't check bike for damage beforehand, they likely to ask me to pay up? ____________________ The above post is most likely nonsensical.
I ride a Bandit 600... badly. |

Doesn't sound like they care, if they say anything say you'll polish the exhaust, I got a massive scuff out of a hire bike's exhaust that way.
Regarding damage, there will probably be an excess, and some places offer to sell you a damage waiver at the start of the course.
This dyspraxia seems to be spreading, didn't realise it was that contagious ____________________ Yamaha MT-03 '08 (crashed)

Is dyspraxia a lack of motor control? or the brain tells the body to do the wrong thing? or the human has problems interpreting basic instructions and or confuses left and right etc?
What are they putting in the water these days?
There was no autistic, dispraxic, aspergers kiddies when I was at school, or at least they never admitted it!
Still not sure why some do? I would not admit if I was a serial murderer of prostitutes and liked using lots of intricate sharp tools to remove peoples faces! |

Are they going to replace parts on a training bike that'll just get dropped again? ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

I'm dyspraxic. Didn't find out til my late 20s. Basically, it means I have shit handwriting and get distracted easily. ____________________ Current Bikes: 1983 Honda VF400FD / 2003 Honda VT750 Shadow
