Why do we make horror movies?

1) Reality/Flesh is illusory 2) There is a spiritual mirror.

All words have etymology, and all stories are pertained.
OK Dracula is named after a certain historical figure, but the story lines are no way in resemblance to the activities of Vlad the impaler. (The story lines are always pertinent to sucking human beings dry)

Why do we visually depict and portray horror scenes on stage like Dutch painters did in the 16th century. EG: Hieronymus Bosch and Pieter Bruegel the Elder?

Are we subconsciously or unconsciously trying to tell ourselves something? – I say this because all the main religions tell us we're not even conscious at all.

IE:- 1) Zombie movies: Ghandi, Jesus, 11 of the twelve apostles, Martin Luther, Malcolm X, John Lennon, Bob Marley etc. (The dead caught them)

Why do we make movies like "The six sense, and The others", are we trying to tell ourselves something?
