Is there anywhere I can download Microsoft word from? (For free).

I don't want Excel, Power Point, Outlook etc etc. Nor do I need the latest version.
Just something capable of viewing and editing a .doc file.

I would recommend download of Libreoffice for free.
It can edit and save .doc files.
Or openoffice of course.

It is just I use Libreoffice on a usb memory stick from portableapps.com (the openoffice portable is old due to licence issues).

Advantage of portable app is does not affect registry on pc.

HTH Thumbs Up

Tried the online office the other day. Couldn't work it out. It didn't want to let me do any edits. Strange.

Map, will look in to that bud. Cheers Thumbs Up

Someone I know installed office 2013 from a torrent which was just a copy of a genuine disc and merely ignores the pestering when it's started up - functionality is fine otherwise.

Another vote for OpenOffice. It's genuinely free and it does 99% of what MsOrifice does.

Oh and for viewing and editing a .doc file - 'much all the cloud based stuff (ie google drive) will do it without installing anything.

The basic word processor functionality isn't too bad, but trying to do complex stuff with spreadsheets, presentations and so on isn't great.
