I went to work in the Wife's car Today as she is away all week.

when i came home and drove down the street 4 lads in hoodies where hanging around outside my house.
They didnt move until i started reversing up the drive..... then they legged it????

I got out of the car and watched them run up the road and around the corner. I locked the car up and had a look around.

My bike was at the side of the house and the cover was lifted at front and back just attached by the cord that clicks together underneath?

The bike is anchored down with a big chain too, and all seemed intact.

I went in the house and was pretty nervous.... couldn't think of anything else.
So while the cats away.... i took the bike round the back and through the patio doors into the dining room lol

Closed the doors and blinds my baby looks happy Very Happy
I had to move the dining table over but it fits fine.

Just sent this pic to the wife ... she isn't as happy as me about this arrangement lol

Agreed, you could fit 3-4 more bikes in there.

Finish the job; put table and chairs outside where the bike used to be. Tell wife, "what's the problem, they're locked to a ground anchor and have a cover over them?" Wink

Could you not keep the bike round the back of the house anyway? Or is it not safe there?

Can't see what she's complaining about. Bike will be an interesting conversation piece to break the ice at dinner parties, as well as providing two extra seats.

I can understand why she'd be pissed that you've put a potential pile of flux in the house! Razz

I would advise making sure it doesn't mark it's territory and you can hide the evidence before her return.

Although nice plan. Need to get more storage for the bikes. Will look into a conservatory Very Happy

She has no reason to complain, as there's space at the side of the house for the table!

You need to now put the cover back, over something that looks bike shaped, and put a sign on it saying 'nice try scumbags' on it!

If you ever saw the kids again outside I might well approach them and say, 'mate have you seen anything as I've just had my bike stolen'.

They might be stupid enough when it's not there to think that someone else has beat them to it! either way it gets rid of the problem of them coming back, as long as it's only bikes they have a hard on for that is.

Outstanding!

Or not, as the case may be.

As to what the missus thinks of it:

Fuck her!

And as that's what marriage is all about anyway,
everyone's happy!

Besides which, without any major structural shenanigans, the dining room now seats ten!

Its a pity i cant stay awake all night with the bike cover over something lumpy.

Id love to catch a bike thief and give him a few lumps of his own!

Sadly i have work early... something these scrotum's typically dont!

But i agree with my new dining furniture... 2 extra seats, lights and a couple of mirrors for the ladies to check their make up lol

i think it might grow on her Very Happy

I get the opposite, "please don't get a 1000"
ALl she gets back is hush
