Seat height: 840mm
Weight: 228 KG

I like the look, but I would need to ruin it with a good set of engine bars. It wouldn't be long before I dropped it.

Use engine bars as mounts for the fog/driving lights that seem de rigueur for BMW (and I'm sure some other) bikes of a certain style.

Surely it's just a competition now. Which manufacturer can make you projectile vomit the furthest.

Yamaha nearly stole that crown from BMW, but not a week has passed and they've come back strongly.

Some people have commented favourably on it's looks. Are you people blind!!!!

Sport Adventure? What made up category is that?

The closest thing I can think of that fits the above would be the KTM 940/990. You can go on a cross continental adventure with them just as easily as you do a rally raid with them.

It's a category for the slightly older gent who has a bad back but wants a sports bike. They also happen to have fuckloads of cash now the kids have left home and the mortgage is paid off. Hence many bikes are now targeted at them

This is my take on it too.

Although as a good all-rounder for the person with space for only one bike, I hate to say I see the appeal.

A sports bike has a screen with a shallow rake angle. An adventure bike compromises this, hence the buffeting. Pure marketing bullshit!
