Big screen needed, and best buy for my ponds.

No where better to ask than the BCF.

Thumbs Up all

And how big? And What for?

I don't think I'd go much bigger physically than my experia z1, it would start causing issues in terms of pocket space.

Nexus 5 is a bargain. Super powerful, screen is a decent size and it doesn't come with Samsung/Crapple bloatware.

What is your budget?

Cheers for that, up to Samsung note size is good for me, I'm pretty flexible on the pocket size thing.

What for? guess I should have detailed that some more, can I come back to you on that?

For 2 ponds and a fish tank you could get the Galaxy Note 4.

The LG G3 is nice, got one recently. The 5.5 inch 2k display is beautiful and the hardware is up to the task. The laser autofocus also works wonders.

I have the Note 4 and it's a bit buggy, e.g. voice activation works and then doesn't work, had a few crashes too. Not great really, think I should've got a Nexus.

Watching downloads\movies\music vids\iplayer catch-ups.
Sat-nav occasionally.
Photo's, for work records.
Video for work records - occasional.
Email and phone obviously .
Games - rarely.

Well, any 2014 smart phone can meet your needs with ease. Seeing as I recommended the LG G3 of course it can do everything here, but taking photos and videos for work will be so much easier due to the laser autofocus. It's quick (really, really quick) and flawless.

The OnePlus One is getting raving reviews mostly, but they're an unproven Chinese brand. Probably fine, but certainly more of a risk.

honestly a good phone. It replaced my nexus 5. Not a major upgrade over the nexus 5 in terms of performance but battery life is immense in comparison. I'm on 40% currently and haven't charged my phone since last afternoon. Granted I haven't used it much today apart from reading a few messages and playing music through headphones for an hour it's still pretty impressive.
