|
Hi,
So recently I had a clearout and sold a load on ebay. Made me about £90.
Most things were paid for on Sun 9th November. All posted on Monday.
Yet all the money was 'payment recieved' - 'pending'
So I can't actually do anything with it?
Anyway, fast forward to today and the first item I have funds for. So I have thirty odd quid in account. How do they decide when it has been 'pending' for long enough?
And can I now transfer into my bank or will they take a cut for that too?
Seems to take a long time to get any money?
Also.. in other news, check out their mad new policies:
Now buyers can effectively "rent" items for 180 days and then return them by filing a dispute.
Amendments to the PayPal User Agreement
Effective Date: November 18, 2014
•improve the conditions of reimbursement under PayPal Buyer Protection by: ◦increasing the time allowed for buyers to raise a Dispute from 45 days to 180 days from the date on which payment was made (UK resident PayPal users already benefit from this improvement); and
◦extending the range of eligible purchases to cover custom made items that are claimed to be Not Received.
We’re increasing the time for buyers to file a merchandise dispute (Item Not Received and Significantly Not as Described) from 45 days to 180 days.
Fuck that surely?
Cheers. ____________________ 07' Honda Hornet now full powaah! My guide on performing an oil change! |

Funny you say that, no they haven't.
The other 3 have though, all positive.
Just seen paypal can hold the money for up to 21 days. Not sure what that's all about. But apparently I should get it through soon. ____________________ 07' Honda Hornet now full powaah! My guide on performing an oil change! |

Tell me about it.
Sold GSXR750 cams. Pulled from GSXR750 engine by myself, definately GSXR750 cams.
Guy gets shouty and sweary at me for lying to him, says I claimed my mechanic pulled them out of my 1200 bandit & they're actually 1200 bandit cams on GSXR sprockets.
I reply, question if he's got me mixed up with someone else, ask him to file a dispute if he has a problem with the item & to re-read the messages we've sent as I've never mentioned a mechanic.
He then leaves me negative feedback, and admits that he had me mixed up with someone else. Says he still wants his money back though.
I requested he removed the feedback, pointed out that as he'd mixed up the sellers and claimed to have three sets of Bandit 1200 cams that he could have perhaps made a mistake. No. Won't do it. Says he's still unhappy that I conned him.
Filed complaint with ebay for abusive language & innapropriate feedback, requested my feedback was restored & they've ignored it.
Sold H100.
Dropped down to the guy in the van, viewed all paperwork with the guy, started it for him, offered him a test ride, then asked him if he was 100% sure he was happy with it, he confirmed & we signed the logbook over.
Next day I get a load of texts, demanding that I come and pick the bike up as it's not as described, deathtrap, sprockets fallen off all sorts of bollocks (I'd ridden it ten miles the night I sold it & had been commuting to Paddy's several nights a week for gaming). He accused me of having a bent MOT on it, despite it having been MOT'd by the previous owner.
The guy then leaves me negative feedback that actually cost me the sale of the CR125 - the buyer actually quoted the guy! Again, reported to ebay with screenshots from the guy texting me (he'd claimed "no contact" in his feedback) and they still refused to remove said feedback.
Fuck selling stuff on there again. Customer support are a joke. ____________________ Please be aware that the above post may be full of complete nonsense.
