Paypal question and query...

Hi,

So recently I had a clearout and sold a load on ebay. Made me about £90.

Most things were paid for on Sun 9th November. All posted on Monday.

Yet all the money was 'payment recieved' - 'pending'

So I can't actually do anything with it?

Anyway, fast forward to today and the first item I have funds for. So I have thirty odd quid in account. How do they decide when it has been 'pending' for long enough?

And can I now transfer into my bank or will they take a cut for that too?

Seems to take a long time to get any money?

◦extending the range of eligible purchases to cover custom made items that are claimed to be Not Received.

We’re increasing the time for buyers to file a merchandise dispute (Item Not Received and Significantly Not as Described) from 45 days to 180 days.

Funny you say that, no they haven't.

The other 3 have though, all positive.



Just seen paypal can hold the money for up to 21 days. Not sure what that's all about. But apparently I should get it through soon.

I'm getting to hate ebay/paypal now. It's ok to buy stuff like parts for my car or bike but selling stuff is becoming more hassle than it's worth.

They want to let people make a claim 6 months after sale! How is that reasonable to the seller?

Was the first item the most expensive?

I had it in the past where they slapped a hold on the funds because I hadn't sold anything for a while, and then the first thing I sold afterwards was over £100.

eBay are getting to be a joke though.

Sod flogging stuff on Ebay
180 days? jeez!

When I had clear out, I put stuff on Gumtree.
It seemed a waste of time at first then I found if I let the ad run for a few days
and then deleted/relisted it, I got more responses and sold stuff the old fashioned way, for cash and a handshake.

I know Ebay has an enormous shop window but the ways you can get fucked over by Ebay and bad buyers puts me off nowadays.

that may explain why when I got shafted on a purchase recently,
( my own damn stupid fault for not spotting a scammer)
there was zero fucks given by them when I reported it.
