Video: https://youtu.be/MCdinwgF8gc

Is the fuel pump on its way out? Or could it be something else?

Bike is an 09 hornet and has done 9.2k miles, filter changed to a k&n at around 7k as well as new NGK plugs + oil/filter and new battery.

Idle at around 1.3-1.5k fairly stable the needle has only a very slight wobble.

I checked the breather tube as well to make sure it wasn't full.

The bike feels like it wants to stall sometimes on hills starts or when I open the throttle fast, it got progressively worse until now it's actually stalling on occasion.

Thanks for any help!

Looking around it could be an electrical issue. Many people say check your battery connection if battery it loose it might cause engine shutdown to kick in.

Also inspect the fuse box and see if anything it loose or blown.

If you got an alarm many people say that it can also cause random engine shut-downs.

Hope this helps

Has this started since you put the K&N in and is it K&N cones or just standard filter swap for a K&N brand?

Thanks for the replies guys, The K&N filter is the same shape as the OEM filter and just looked at it today, seems fine and I've used it for over 1k miles so it's most likely not the filter. In terms of electrics the bike has always been covered and hasn't got any extras soldered/added into the system other than the optimate quick charge cable thing, Also has been treated with acf50.

I had the tank lifted today no kinks in any line, also the wiring is looking in great conditions overall didn't find anything which looked problematic. I have a feeling the injectors/ fuel pump or lines are perhaps clogged (the bike was left sitting at the dealers for a while I believe) I will try using some motorcycle cleaner additive in the fuel (which claim to clean the above and resolve issues like the stalling) and report back.

There was some crap in the crankcase catcher but it wasn't totally rammed full of liquid not sure if that caused the issue but it has been raining a lot recently.
