You're going to need a lot more cash to buy Photoshop as well as a lap top. That won't even cover Photoshop.

Assuming you already have a license, £300 laptop may be pushing it for doing decent work with Photoshop

If you're just cropping and printing and small adjustments then you will probably find something, but you won't need a package as heavy as photoshop to do that either.

If you're using photoshop to do heavy editing as it was designed, you're going to need as much ram as you can get.

Is she using Photoshop to adjust photos, or for more in-depth work?

Reason I ask is because Photoscape is a good alternative for messing about with photographs and is a free download from the internet, and isn't as RAM heavy as Photoshop. Thumbs Up

Right, further on from this, the Dell has been upgraded from Vista to Windows 7,the spec of the standard Dell is 512gb of ram,on the actual laptop it says 1.00gb of ram,is this a problem,I'm crap with computers.
Edit:looking at more spec lists it does have 1gb,will adding a couple more gb speed it up?
