HONDA CBR125R PROBLEMS

I've recently within the last month purchased a Cbr125 2004 plate and all was fine for the first 2 or so weeks. Now when i go to start it it hardly ticks and shows no signs of getting close to starting and sometimes it doesnt tick atall and just stays silent. The lights are all on and ive got a new battery which didnt help either(sent it back for money back). I think their is something wrong with the cables connected to the start button but i could be completely wrong as i know nothing about bikes lol. When it first happened a week ago the choke would start it but now it does nothing.. Does anyone know what could be wrong and what to do? Thanks..

Same as other post where you ran it low on fuel?

You need to clean your fuel system out to start with - could be all related to that. Bike is fuel injected, if you have no fuel pressure due to a blocked jet as Roger suggested in the other post - then it may refuse to start because of that.

If it all started after you ran the fuel to empty, that's where i'd start looking for the problem.

I'm new to this all but ive looked at the fuse with no idea what im looking for lol. Is there any way to check if its a fault with the fuse or only by looking at it? (It is the wire covered by the red protector right?)

Fuses under riders seat where your left cheek would sit.

Rear seat off, 10mm socket to remove bolt holding rider seat down.

Remove battery, charge it whilst you look at fuse box.

10A fuse that controls the start circuit has failed a few times on my brothers, not mine though.

Start with the basics, remove sparkplug and place the plug into the plug cap and rest against the cylinder head to allow electrical contact, press starter button and check for a good spark at the plug, if there is no spark replace the plug and repeat the same test.
The carb may be contaminated with rubbish from the bottom of the petrol tank so turn on fuel and loosen the drain screw at the bottom of the carb, this will allow most of the crud (if any) to drain away, close the drainscrew then try starting the bike with only a little throttle while the choke is on full.

Has it got an immobilizer?

I had similar issues with mine, also cutting out as I was riding and it was the immobilizer.

Been fine since it was removed.
