Some people are just like that, genuine, but illiterate and socially awkward. Who knows, it's simply a gamble. He also could have got his licence in the days of driving around a cone and that's it and not via expensive DAS.

More likely he doesn't want to have his whole life interrupted by timewasters and idiots ringing up "just for a chat about it" at all hours of the day and night.

Although personally, I'd give out a number in preference to an address, at least you can put the phone on silent if you get too many idiots calling.

I think he is trying to get across "just bring your money and come to have a look instead of ringing up and annoying me with idiotic questions, because you will like it so much you will want to ride it away".

Don't forget to make sure you have insurance to ride it home.

1. Make sure the bike actually exists.
2. Check that the person selling it, is legally entitled to do so.
3. Make sure the owner's address, engine number, VIN and Reg number match what's on the V5 - then do one of those 'Check Details' via SMS.
4. Don't carry the full cash amount with you - leave a small deposit if you are happy with the deal, and return later with the balance.

If I were the seller, and if I knew I were dealing with a retard such as yourself, I would take all steps to minimise contact with you.

I'd be concerned that a neglected, unwanted GPZ with that mileage won't be roadworthy.

I'd be concerned.

From experience I've found anyone writing in capital letters tend to be crooks.

Additionally I find anyone disclosing their 'reasons for sale' tend to be more so 'excusing the sale' which fall into my category of downright liars. Adverts should be about the product, and not about someone's life story, it's almost like a diversionary tactic to take your attention away from asking questions about the product.

That would raise 2 reg flags for me, and I'd avoid.

Hull is reasonably close to you isn't it? It'll only cost a few pounds fuel on the bike - go have a look. What's the harm?

Don't bring the £325 with you when you go to buy a bike?

The seller will tell you to bugger off.

We still have.

I just rode across town to Surrey and back this afternoon in leggings and a windbreaker, with an extra jumper on underneath "just in case" on a glorious clear day.

Can't believe its the last day of November.
