The bike in question is a GPZ 500 1994 with over 50K on the clock and seven months MOT.

I've got him down to £325 with out even examining the bike or meeting him all via email I've left him stewing.

Should I have just arranged to view the bike?

His responses have all been in capital letters 'FIRST SEE TAKES IT' etc I've requested his number for a chat twice but he's not acknowledging it he's either computer illiterate a retard or possibly serial fantasist. (He is near Hull).

Biking 'isn't for him' which is the reason for sale surely you would realise this on a CBT and not waste money getting a license.

I'd be using public transport to get there in case I do buy it which is why I am apprehensive.

What is the best way to deal with gumtrees finest when buying a bike privately?

Also the asking price is £500 he easily dropped to £350 when I mentioned picking it up and finally accepted £325.

From experience I've found anyone writing in capital letters tend to be crooks.

Additionally I find anyone disclosing their 'reasons for sale' tend to be more so 'excusing the sale' which fall into my category of downright liars. Adverts should be about the product, and not about someone's life story, it's almost like a diversionary tactic to take your attention away from asking questions about the product.

That would raise 2 reg flags for me, and I'd avoid.
