You will get to find out what arse-rape feels like.

Both of you ttempting to pervert the course of justice v your mate getting done for bike-jacking you. Which one do you think he will choose?

You really didn't think through your excuse, did you?

Come next month you'll be begging for only 3 points and a £100 after your day in court.

in b4 roger explains that he hasn't appealed the decision, he simply turned down the option of paying the out of court settlement offer bribe and has opted for it to be decided by a magistrate. Wink

To answer the elided question: 6 points and a £200 fine?

What will happen is entirely up to the specific circumstances and whatever pack of lies you want to spin.

You won't get a better answer unless you provide all the details, no drip feeding, no "basically..." waffle.

Go on, we could do with a laugh.

They will most likely double the fine ££ and points since ultimately you are guilty and agree to these terms when you apply for your licence. You'll then likely get stung for a 'victims of crime' contribution payment as well.

So you done something illegal, got caught, told a few lies while knowing you was in the wrong? I'm sure some of us have done similar. But then you get quite a small point and fine punishment, and instead of thinking " you know what, that's quite lucky, I will just pay it and shut up"
You decide nope U want to go to court????
You really didn't think that through did ya?
Think you may need the lube and deeper pockets for his one.

Before you start telling the magistrate a load of porkies .... consider this.

They have heard it ALL before from people who are better at it than you.

It won't be a cheap day that's for sure - acting the arse only works for that section of the population that has nothing to lose before they go to court and irrespective of the outcome.

"You're going to get rekt m8".

How about: my friend forced me to appeal, I didn't want to, can I take the original penalty? Rolling Eyes

If its just for the Offence of "Giving someone a saddle" then you are still ok if you just rock up and plead guilty.

For god sake dont go down the line of saying your mate forced you to do it as you are looking at prison time for perverting the course of justice. (you wouldn't be going to magistrates for this anyway).

Bearing in mind some officers write an A4 statement but if its a long style ticket they will write a short statment on the back which may not include your hijack story.

haha

I strongly suspect that OP would do well to plead guilty by post at the earliest opportunity, rather than putting in face time.

It's actually the "told my friend to tell the rozzers..." part that will hang him.

Just lying on your own behalf is pretty much expected. You can view making a guilty plea as getting a tariff reduction for honesty, or a non-guilcup conviction as carrying extra punishment for lying. It works out much the same.

I'm assuming here that OP has been given a banged-to-rights FPN for "giving a saddle" while he's on a provisionaL. If it's more complex, like licensed but no pillion use on insurance, or mate wasn't wearing a lid, there might be a case for wriggling. I very much doubt it though.

That would be my take too - hope they don't want to see you at all and issue the original fine & points for fessing up. You can speak to the Clerk of the Courts about this - they are actually really helpful.
