Hi All

I wondered if any of you could help me find an 'easy' solution to help me record footage and party chat of my Xbox One using the Hauppauge HD PVR 2 Gaming Edition Plus.

So to start, I have the Hauppauge HD PVR 2 Gaming Edition Plus wired up between the PC and Xbox One and then I have headset (XO7) connected to the controller for the chat and sound playback.

I can't have the speakers on for the TV nor talk to loudly as I mainly play late-ish at night so cant disturb others in the house.

This seems to be my downfall as to record the party chat I need to change the settings so the chat is done through the Kinect so the chat etc goes over the HDMI to the PVR.

I then have a microphone which picks up my personal chat through the PVR.

This solution doesn't really work for me though. I want to know if there is an easier (hardware) way that can record everything in one go where I can use my headset through the controller so I don't have to enable the Kinect for chat etc..

Do any of you guys do anything or have any suggestions?

Tried searching the internet but the results mainly reference to the 360 which handled chat differently apparently.

Stumbled on this video earlier but you can't get the splitter in the UK. Anyone know of any other workarounds?

The simpler the better would be great Thumbs Up

Thanks in advance.

Does your TV have a headphones output? If so, turn the TV itself down and use headphones to listen. Then mic to the xbox and mic to the PVR and you should be all set.

You bought this on Black Friday didn't you. Maybe there's a reason they wanted to get rid?
