Hi all

Got a dell latitude that needs a new screen.

I've replaced several before now, all without any problems.

However, replaced this one tonight and I've got no image on screen. You can here it boot up etc but nothing on the screen and no external display either.

It lights up as if it's going to pop up but it's just sort of dully lit.

I took it out and put the old one back in and it pops up just fine apart from the crack across it.

This leads me to conclude my new screen is the problem.

Anyone have any suggestions or ideas that I might have overlooked before I ring the company to the and get another screen.

The one I have ordered is the correct screen so I'm at a loss Rolling Eyes

Why would you have no external display though?
Seems like something else going on - drivers?

I initially thought that, but it works with the old cracked screen :/

Yes - rung the company and they said it was a match but maybe the manufacturer was causing a compatability issue.

Have returned it and am waiting for a new one in the next few days so will let you know if that one works!
