Their data center has been raided apparently.

Having trouble getting to any torrent sites now...

As much as I like El Reg, it is always 12hrs behind reporting anything.

There was already a .cr for TPB about 2hrs after the raid, but that crashed under the load and popped within 30mins.

I think I've maybe used tpb twice in all the years that I've been using PC's, and both times the results were pretty useless compared to isohunt etc (for me anyway)

As for finding stuff.... I admit I have no IT knowledge whatsoever.... but have maybe struggled for about 2 minutes to find an alternative way to download anything.


I'm not going to lose any sleep over tpb

Yeah I mentioned them for nostalgic reasons. Still remember Napster when it was first out. Downloading one song took 4-5 hours. Used to steal the isdn connection from council offices near my house. Good times.

Eurgh kazaa is about as safe as visiting a Liberian hospital.


Both Kazaa and Morpheus wrecked numerous computers of mine and my friends... that's what put me off the idea of torrenting.



I don't expect this is the end of TPB though, just a minor interruption.
