Yep. Was riding through town and leant over to go round a corner. Little did I know that that specific corner had a nice shiny coat of ice and the bike slid over. I was able to get my foot down and remain standing as my poor abused bike fell over. Picked it up and rode it home. The only damage being a snapped brake lever. Which was a pleasant change from my other accidents. Anyways I'll put it down to poor observation before rogersborg gets here and gives me an earful haha Laughing

At least you are well, FFS! Work on your obs before you potato your self properly!

Avoid all shinny stuff, paint, manhole covers, cats eyes, BLACK ICE!
And so on, lastly take gingerly on bends and roundabouts !

Haha thanks for the advice!! And alpine star jacket, RST gloves, Spada trousers and a mid range shark helmet lol so not bad

It was so icy where I left my bike today I had to wait a couple of hours for it to thaw out before I would set off.

I'm riding a ZX9 with track day tyres on it...

Unfortunately not a lot you can do against black ice.
