I'm fast coming to the conclusion that all modern bikes are ugly, so better look for another reason to like them if you want modern equipment, performance, handling etc.

I think this isn't the worst looking of the bunch. The KTM 1290 SDR is one ugly looking mutha, but I still want one.

I'm wondering why the ad doesn't have a pic of the whole bike, also the video is just a slide-show of the uploaded pics.
Suspect ad is suspect. Thinking

This.

Might as well have not even bothered with the pics. In fact, description is hardly loaded either!

Should have just bunged an ad on gumtree.....

Interesting - the ebayer has over 2000 bikes for sale - with lots of different dealer's signs in the background -see here.

Could be that they are acting as an agent for these dealers, taking a cut for doing the advertising.

No. They're all part of the KJM Group, which includes:

- KJM Wrightington
- Chorley Yamaha
- Wigan Yamaha
- Motorcycle Centre Orrell
- Millennium Motorcycle St. Helens
- Robinsons of Rochdale
- Preston Superbike
- Bolton Motorcycles

There may be others I've forgotten. They also operate a wholesale business: https://www.kjmtrade.co.uk/used.php

One thing I have noticed is that when they advertise a particularly good deal on new bikes, they tend to advertise them at multiple (or all) stores (in multiple colours/trim levels), but it's often the case that actually only a handful (if any!) exist in the group and you end up getting sent from one showroom to another. I'm sure they do that just to get people through the door.

If it's just a supercharger and over 300bhp that people want, then you could blow into a ZZR14 for a lot less money, and use a lot less boost to make the same amount of power.

The H2 is a bit lost on me, and so I need to be explained to why it's a mythical bike, and or a better idea than the above?

I even doubt that the spindly trellis frame would allow it to handle 8/10th's as well as a current ZX10R?

Wigan Yamaha aren't part of the same group. I don't think Chorley are either, and don't know about Rochdale.

As I understand it, Wigan and Chorley Yamaha operate under a single company (Chorley Yamaha Centre Limited). The websites are also virtually identical.

Chorley Yamaha Centre Limited has the same set of directors as MotoGB, Motorcycle Centre Orrell, KJM:

https://www.directorsintheuk.co.uk/company-director/3225758/MRS+EILEEN+MASON
https://www.directorsintheuk.co.uk/company-director/2150121/MR+KEITH+JAMES+MASON
https://www.directorsintheuk.co.uk/company-director/281222/JULIE+LOWE

Likewise, Robinsons of Rochdale, Millennium Motorcycles, Preston Superbike don't appear as Limited companies, and I suspect they're all trading names of KJM. The websites are very similar, and they all offer virtually the same range of new bikes.

I've mentioned this at various times to the staff in Millennium / KJM / Chorley Yam / Robinsons / Preston Superbike and Motorcycle Centre Orrell. none have ever denied being part of the 'KJM group'. They're also usually quite happy to shift new and used stock between stores.

Having said that, I think there is some autonomy in respect to the management of each store and their approach to customer service.

I think it would all be down to the exclusivity of owning one really. And presumably, as it's a major manufacturer who has created it, it'll be particularly well executed (perhaps?).

I don't see why the trellis frame should be a problem. Not only do Ducati use them with bikes that make nigh-on 200bhp, but many drag bikes still use tubular steel frames. As to using 300-odd horsepower on the short circuit, well, plainly this bike isn't realistic in that regard. But Kawasaki have actually answered the question of why with, "because we can." They've obviously never intended it to be a bike that will compete with anything else in the showrooms. If you're stinking rich, why not?
