Hello everyone,

My girlfriend has a Lexmoto Tornado 125cc scooter, it has had trouble starting and idling for a couple of weeks so I have adjusted the valve clearances by following a guide on the internet.

The inlet was already set at 0.05 but the exhaust was very tight and so I have adjusted that to 0.07, the bike now starts and idles great but if I twist the throttle more than a hairs width it kills the engine.

Could this be because iv set the exhaust valve clearance too loose? or is it something else

Thanks in advance
Russell

Your initial symptoms would have made me suspect a blocked idle jet rather than valve clearances. If it was me I'd clean the carb next and see what that does.
