a bit of a rant

for some reason i got a letter off west mercia police saying that they feel they have a case for riding without due care

not sure why as all i did was overtake on a straght road when traffic was slow and some numpty pulled out from behind a van

if i could of seen him i would of stopped at the time of interview the police officer said that no further action should be taken as it wasnt in the public intrest

anyway got the choice of either a ride workshop or being taken to court

wifes panics about these and wants me do take the course

so i tried booking

wont let me book online keeps saying my licence number doesnt exsist
so we phoned the company who runs the course up

reason i cant book is they only run two courses in my area a year and they are both fully booked

according to my letter i have to book and take the course before febuary so the only option is to take a course 40 miles away Twisted Evil

why tell me to do a course that doesnt exsist stupid fucking west mercia police i now have to travel 40 miles each way to do a course in a different forces area as you dont offer them

So you were overtaking on a junction?

Who is the numpty again?? Wink

Btw, I had a similar accident with a similar outcome and about the same distance to cover. No fucks were given as I had the choice of attending court as do you. I wouldn't advise it mind Smile

So the choice is either points on the licence and bumraped by insurance for 5 years or travel 40 miles to do a course and avoid points and being bumraped for 5 years?

Why so mad bro?

Oh, right, this thread, and this paint diagram of awesome:

Didn't the insurers no-fault it in your favour?

Oh, and "Police report says car at fault for pulling out blindly from behind a van".

I'm rather surprised they're going criminal on that one. Witnesses wailed about the kittens? Thinking

Ahh forgot that diagram

Cheers rog

Actuallylooking at the road layout its a bit different

And yes its all down to witnesses being non biker fags

Apparently being up ones arse (doing 27 in a nsl)

And overtaking at 80 on a bike that's restricted to 65

This ^^

I got caught in North Wales when we lived in London and had to go up there for a course. 180 miles each way...

40 miles - man up and get on with it!

right now i'm on the proper computer i will explain a bit more

the hatched area is further up the road so did not cross into that like it looked on diagram

the van was stopped at an angle to turn into the car park and the car was too far forward behind the van when i approached if the car had waited where it was supposed to i could of seen it

when i approached the van i could see passed it and the road was clear i thought it would carry on into the car park as i got to it so went to go round the back

unfortunately there was a gap in the traffic coming down the hill at that moment and thats when the bmw came out from behind the van into me hitting the left side of my bike pushing me off

he managed to hit me hard enough to send my bike across the carriageway and onto the footpath on the opposite side of the road

at the bottom of the hill is an island with a two lane set of lights to go straight on i was in the right hand lane which you can either go straight or turn right since my accident i have seen about 40 bikes do exactly the same as me and ride up the outside of the traffic

can't get google maps to come up but its junction 5 of the m5 and going towards droitwich the pub is called the robin hood

Sorry dude, but pub and car park are both entirely foreseeable - proceed with caution...

Anyway, about that 'summons'.....
