OK so I'll lose a few man points.... If I ever had any in the first place.

After this didn't sell on ebay for the asking price, I got it for £100 less. And I know the frame is twisted and the chain is slack....

...See:

She'd been lying under a cover for fuck knows how long, so I gave her a quick wash before taking these pictures.... I honestly thought she was a he and mud coloured with a few patches of black.... honest Embarassed

Nice buy Thumbs Up

Oooh, suit you sir! Laughing

At least they only had one bright colour in stock when that particular fight occurred in the paint shop.

Had an identical one back in the day - same year, same colour scheme - everything. And they are just the perfect bike.

Miss it. The colour scheme went beautifully with my bright yellow lid which was covered in lightning stripes. Fortunately no pictures exist....

I had a tracksuit in those colours at some point in the 80s.

I would leave that as it is, I bet you won't often see another one.

And so it begins..... yesterday I decided to clean all the crap off the chain and found there was about 10-15 of the rollers had seized (although the links still moved freely), with a good splash of white spirit and persuasion about 9 of them are now moving as freely as the rest, but the rest are refusing to budge.

I checked today and they are still seized, so I've given them another going over with the white spirit, but don't thing that will be enough to free these ones.

So the question is if I used some needle nosed mole grips to hold them firmly (not crush them) and some penetrating spray would it help free them up?

I should point out that the chain and sprockets appear to be fairly new so I don't want to splashing out X amount on a new set just yet, also I don't want to be taking the chain off just yet either.

Also when I was mucking about on the bike today I met the lady biker that has the lock up next to mine (I'd heard there was a lady had a bike in 1, but didn't realise it would be that close).... ended up chatting for about 20 minutes... as you do
