Car Battery Removal Question.

Hi guys,

I need to charge a battery for a renault clio which has sat up for a couple of months. The car still starts but it is weak.

I was going to remove the battery and charge it up indoors overnight. Does anyone know if this could result in me needing the key reprogrammed? I know it'll mess with the radio, but I know the radio code.

I'm just a bit worried incase I leave it out and find that I can no longer start the car using the key.

Just make sure if you have the screw on cap on the positive its nice and tight ... I had a battery that played up on one of theses due to the connection...

Key should remain paired with the immobiliser transponder until such a time as it is unpaired (which happens when you reprogram a new key).

So you should be fine.
